Tamarack TTP series Panel Mounts for groups of 1 to 6 PV Modules

Tamarack TTP-x series ad TTP-x-HW High Wind top-of-pole solar panel mounts are a great solution for mounting a solar panel or multiple panel array in remote locations where there is no structure or building, or where roof orientation doesn't maximize sun exposure. An extra advantage is that the panels can be angle adjusted so the plane of the panels maximizes the sun exposure as the seasons change.

Tamarack mounts are built to order and are a match fit to your solar panels. The top of pole mount includes everything but the steel pipe mounting pole.  Our store has a section for the Top-of-Pole Mount Selection.

Pipe size and foundation requirements are based on several factors including the array surface area, maximum design wind speed, exposure category, soil type, steepest expected tilt angle, and above-ground clearance. If you know what you want, check out the mounts in the store.

Detailed information is needed to design a top of pole mount.

The specific solar panel model number, manufacturer's name and serial numbers if available.

The number of solar panels to be mounted.

The geographic location of the installation so we can determine snow and wind loads.

The exposure category of the installation site:

  1. Terrain with buildings, forest or surface irregulars covering at least 20 percent of the ground area extending one mile or more from the site.  This is generally an urban site.  It is not expected that you make an exhaustive survey for 1 mile all around the array location to determine the exact proportion of building or forest areas to land area.

  2. Flat and generally open terrain extending 1/2 mile or more from the site in any full quadrant.  The exposure has become the commonly accepted with the terrain is not known.

  3. Represents the area with the most severe conditions.  These have basic wind speeds of 80 mph or greater with flat, unobstructed terrain adjacent to large bodies of water, or in flat plains.  Exposure D extends inland from the shore 1/4 of a mile or 10 times the building height.

Soil conditions at the installation site:

    1. Crystalline bedrock

    2. Sedimentary and foliated rock

    3. Sandy gravel and/or gravel

    4. Sand, silty or clayey sand, silty gravel and clayey gravel

    5. Clay, sandy clay, silty clay, clayey silt, silt and sandy silt

Foundation or footer diameter.  The default is 30 inches.  Your can advise a larger or smaller diameter 14 inches or larger if required at your installation site.

Maximum tilt angle at these increments 15, 25, 35, 45, 55 or 65 degrees from horizontal.

Clearance height of the solar panel above the ground at the steepest angle of adjustment.

Extra cost options:

  • High wind version

  • Anodized aluminum

  • Hot dip galvanized steel

  • Powder coated steel

  • Powder coated aluminum

  • Stainless steel hardware

  • Tamper resistant hardware

  • Over sized mounting sleeve (mandatory for high wind versions)

Tamarack UNI-GR Panel Mounts for groups of 2 or 3 PV Modules

Tamarack UNI-GR/90 (2 panel) and UNI-GR/130 (3 panels) are a great solution for mounting a solar panel or multiple panel array on roof or the ground.  The adjustable back legs can be set up to cover a wide range of angles from a steep pitch roof, to a 2/12 to a flat roof or the ground, including uneven terrain.

Tamarack mounts are built to order and are a match fit to your solar panels. The UNI-GR/xx includes everything including the feet and bolts.  Our store has these in Ground Mounts.

Tamarack UNI-PGRM Horizontal Panel Mounts for groups of 1 to 6 PV Modules

Tamarack UNI-PGRM/1P1 (1 panel) to UNI-PGRM/6P2 (6 panels) are a great solution for mounting a solar panel or multiple panel array horizontally on the ground.  The adjustable pipe mount can be set up to cover a wide range of angles that vary by location and season.

Tamarack mounts are built to order and are a match fit to your solar panels. The top of pole mount includes everything but the horizontal and vertical steel pipe.  These vary by location and installation and are best sourced locally.
