The hybrid AC-DC air conditioner model ACDC12B is a fully certified solar air conditioning and heating system, ETL listed for the US and Canada, Energy Star Rated and approved by the California Energy Commission. 

The ACDC12B accepts grid power both 50 Hz and 60 Hz.  You can operate it anyplace in the world.

During the day, the solar air conditioner receives DC power directly from solar panels without needing an inverter or controller. The DC solar power directly replaces the equivalent amount of AC power from the grid and can cut daytime energy costs by 80 to 90 percent.

At night, the air conditioner runs from an off grid inverter or from grid power, 220 to 240 VAC with a maximum energy draw of 7 amps when operating, 0.3 amps on standby.

When the Hybrid-Air is co-running on solar, the SEER rating is above 33, and is 19 at night.  SEER is seasonal energy efficiency rating.  The higher the number the more energy efficient the unit.  SEER ratings for conventional air conditioning and air-source heat pump systems manufactured today range from 13 SEER to 24 SEER.  A SEER of 33 is exceptionally efficient.

Hybrid-Air is a heat pump, so it can also be operated for heating. The COP or coefficient of performance as a heater is 3.5, another rating of efficiency.

Hybrid-Air is a split unit, also referred to as a "mini-split" with the outside unit mounted on an outside wall.  The outdoor unit contains the condenser, condenser coils and compressor. The indoor unit contains the evaporator, evaporator coils and fan that circulates the air inside the room where it is mounted. The distance between the two units is limited by the line set that comes with the unit this is pre-charged with refrigerant for easy installation.  Inquire about longer line sets preinstalled at the factory.
